About Autumn Community Foundation
Our Reason
On April 24th, 2023, the founder experienced an unfathomable tragedy. Her water unexpectedly broke at 5 ½ months pregnant, and she gave birth to her first baby, Autumn Gounod. Unfortunately, Autumn was too young to survive outside the womb and she passed away at birth. As her husband held Autumn, he asked one life-altering question, "How did your house collapse on you". From that moment, The founder knew it was time to make a change and turn their pain into power. Together they sought healing through helping by developing affordable housing for those in need.
"While we can never bring back our daughter, we understand there are so many people, seniors, veterans, and working-class families who need a safe place to live that would not collapse on them!"

To address the housing crisis in rural communities, we are committed to building affordable and sustainable housing solutions. Our mission is to provide dignified living spaces that enhance community well-being and preserve the environment. Through innovative design, efficient construction practices, and partnerships with local stakeholders, we aim to create resilient homes that are accessible to all residents. By prioritizing affordability, sustainability, and community engagement, we strive to foster thriving rural communities where every individual has a safe and stable place to call home.
Our Approach
At Autumn Community Foundation, we take a holistic approach to community support. We believe that in order to truly support individuals and families, we must address all aspects of their lives, including creating safe, sustainable housing, physical health, mental health, and social support.
Autumn Cottages @Eloy COMING SOON!
We are excited to announce the pilot energy-efficient affordable housing cottage development, Autumn Cottages @ Eloy! Autumn Cottages is in memory of her firstborn daughter, Autumn Joyce Anne Gounod who was born at 5 ½ months, and unfortunately passed away at birth. Autumn Cottages @Eloy will consist of 7 units with a community center. Six units will be 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and an onsite clubhouse with a gym, arcade, and pizza café located in the heart of Downtown Eloy.
